I still remember that dark evening at the Coffee Shop in Walnut Creek, that quick in her step his face brightly smiling. Two familiar faces, and sharing that special space hearing about their engagment and all the vision Sydney had for her wedding day. I was already over the moon that they were even considering me to document their wedding because I had the joy of shooting with her sister a couple of years prior. They couldn’t be a more wonderful family to spend time with, and without a doubt Sydney’s elegant style would be a dream to shoot.
We immediately began planning their epic engagement session on Mount Tamalpias, which is a definitely must see.
The whole day was absolutely beautiful. From their stunning Colonial Estate Venue down to the gorgeous willowing florals, that trailing veil and can we take a moment to admire how perfectly her gown was made for her? And I will never forget that timeless moment of anticipation just before their first look.
With all the fabulous details so perfectly balanced, what stands out the most about this wedding was what I carried with me. It was a feeling…so much more than the excitement about the gorgeous images the beyond rad second shooter Kris Turner’s memory cards. The feeling was deep and heavy hearted.. a fullness of gratitude, of having the honor of shooting not one but three weddings in this family and after seeing so many friends that feel like family.. and being entrusted with such an important day to remember.
I’ll let the photos tell the rest.
